Moberly Couple Gets "Instant Payday"

Story Photo A Moberly couple’s weekly trip to the bowling alley resulted in an "Instant Payday" of $25,000. Roscoe and Naomi Turner joined some friends for Senior Day at Community Lanes, 1616 N. Morley in Moberly, for an afternoon of socializing and bowling on Wednesday, Aug. 8.
"I had knee surgery, so I had to quit bowling, so we were just out watching," said Roscoe.
The couple usually buys a few Lottery tickets during their visit, and Naomi’s choice of an "Instant Payday" Scratchers ticket lived up to its name.
"I scratched off the numbers on the ’Instant Payday’ and saw I had a matching 16," Naomi said. "Then I scratched off the prize amount and couldn’t believe it!"
The retired couple says the money couldn’t come at a better time as it will help pay some medical expenses.
"Instant Payday" is a $2 game that began on June 7, and features a top prize of $25,000.
