Ellisville Man Wins $200,000 Powerball Prize

Story Photo It took a few weeks for an Ellisville man to discover that he was $200,000 richer, but now he’s making plans to pay off a few bills and maybe take a trip. Miles Agee, 50, said he had no idea that his Powerball ticket purchased for the June 27 drawing was worth $200,000 until he went to have his tickets checked at a retail location on July 16.
"I had kept the ticket on my visor of the truck," Agee said. "I had no idea that it was a winning ticket. It’s just hard to believe."
Agee, a self-employed carpenter, said after realizing he won, he called his girlfriend to tell her the good news, but it took him 20 minutes to convince her he was telling the truth.
Agee purchased his winning ticket at Western Oil Citgo 34, 15670 Manchester in Ellisville. He used Quick Pick to select his winning numbers. They were: 9, 11, 13, 24 and 43.
Agee’s ticket was the 79th winning Powerball ticket worth $200,000 since the game redesign on Aug. 28, 2005.
