Florissant Man Wins $14,263 Lottery Prize
A Florissant man is $14,263 richer after trying something different while playing Club Keno at Aftershock Sports Bar & Grill, 11750 Missouri Bottom Road in Hazelwood, on July 14.
Kenneth Phillips, 60, said he usually only plays the four-spot game, but decided to play the seven-spot game instead. He used Quick Pick to let the computer select his winning numbers and the BullsEye. His decision to play the seven-spot paid off when he matched seven numbers and the BullsEye number to win $12,500. His prize increased by $1,763 with the Progressive Jackpot for a total of $14,263.
Phillips, a retired Social Studies teacher, said he doesn’t know what he’s going to do with his prize money yet.
Players can win from $1 to $100,000 per $1 ticket per drawing in Club Keno. For an extra $1, players can choose the Bulls-Eye option and win from $5 to $300,000. Club Keno players who play the six-, seven- and eight-spot games are automatically eligible - with no additional costs - to win the extra Progressive Jackpot prize. Players can win this progressive prize along with the regular prize on a six-, seven- or eight-spot game. If the jackpot is not won during the drawing, it will continue to grow until it is won. The Progressive Jackpot is pari-mutuel, so players will share the jackpot, based on the amount and the number of winning shares in each prize category.
