Missouri Lotto Ticket Worth $1.8 Million Sold in Independence

Story Photo A Missouri Lotto player who buys tickets at QuikTrip, 17815 E. 39th in Independence, is now $1.8 million richer! One Lotto ticket sold there for the July 14 drawing matched all six numbers drawn - 2, 6, 25, 29, 35 and 42 - to win the jackpot.
"If you buy Lotto tickets there, please check them closely," said Susan Goedde, communications manager for the Missouri Lottery.
Lotto winners have exactly 180 days from the drawing to claim their prize. In this case, the winner has until Jan. 10, 2008.
If you discover you hold the winning ticket, sign the back of it and take it to a Missouri Lottery office. Offices are located in Kansas City, Jefferson City, St. Louis and Springfield. Maps to each office can be found on the Lottery’s Web site on the Contact Us page.
The last time a Missouri Lotto jackpot was won was on May 12, when a Dixon couple and their son from Seattle, Wash., claimed a $1.8 million jackpot with a Lotto ticket purchased at Country Mart Express, 508 E. 5th St. in Dixon.
This is the 165th winning Missouri Lotto jackpot ticket sold and the 232th ticket worth $1 million or more overall since the Lottery began in 1986.
