Urbana Woman Wins $10,000 Instantly

Story Photo An Urbana woman discovered that sometimes wishes do come true. DeAnna Kirk told her husband that she wanted to win a big Lottery prize. One week later on June 10, Kirk scratched off a "$250,000 Mega Cash" Scratchers ticket and won $10,000.
Kirk, 40, said she purchased a few Scratchers tickets on her way home from work, and she took them home to scratch. She purchased her winning ticket at Melton’s 64-73 Jct. Inc., 599 State Highway 64 in Buffalo.
Kirk, a registered nurse at a Springfield hospital, said she and her husband, Terry, plan to use their prize money to pay bills, buy something for their two children and put the rest into savings.
The $10 Game, "$250,000 Mega Cash," began on Jan. 31. It offers 30 top prizes of $250,000 and more than $100 million in cash prizes.
