Ashland Man Uncovers Lottery Top Prize

Story Photo Robert Keeler, Ashland, is $50,000 richer after uncovering the top prize in the Missouri Lottery Scratchers game "Crossword."
Keeler, 35, stopped at Break Time, 101 Henry Clay Blvd. in Ashland, to buy refreshments on May 12 before going home to watch the Cardinals game. He took the ticket home to scratch it with his fiancé, Lori Basinger. Keeler said he was in "complete shock" after he revealed the game’s top prize.
Keeler and Basinger are getting married later this year, and he said Basinger’s two daughters are like his own kids. The couple plan to pay off bills, take the girls to a Cardinals game and possibly take a vacation with Keeler’s prize. They also plan to put some of the money in the bank.
The $3 "Crossword" game officially began on March 1.
