Missouri Lotto Ticket Worth $7.6 Million Sold in Joplin

Story Photo A Missouri Lotto player who buys tickets at Sue’s C-Store, 26206 Fir Road in Joplin, is now $7.6 million richer! One Lotto ticket sold there for the April 21 drawing matched all six numbers drawn - 6, 12, 18, 29, 37 and 44 - to win the jackpot.
"If you buy Lotto tickets there, please check them closely," said Gary Gonder, director of communications for the Missouri Lottery.
Lotto winners have exactly 180 days from the drawing to claim their prize. In this case, the winner has until Oct. 18, 2007.
If you discover you hold the winning ticket, sign the back and take it to a Missouri Lottery office. Offices are located in Springfield, Jefferson City, St. Louis and Independence. Maps to each office can be found at www.molottery.com.
The $7.6 million jackpot is tied for the 10th highest Lotto jackpot ever awarded. On Aug. 27, 1994, a Kansas City couple claimed a Lotto prize worth $7.6 million. The last time a Missouri Lotto jackpot was won was on Dec. 23, 2006, when an Ironton couple claimed a $3.7 million jackpot with a Lotto ticket they purchased in Jackson.
This is the 162nd winning Missouri Lotto jackpot ticket sold and the 227th jackpot ticket worth $1 million or more overall since the Lottery began in 1986.
