TWO WIN $25,000 TAX PAID IN ST. LOUIS AREA

A Belleville, Ill., woman and a St. Louis man are both $25,000* richer after matching all five numbers in the Missouri Lottery’s SHOW ME 5 game. Lala Hines of Belleville, Ill., won with a ticket for the July 29 drawing, and Lawrence Harper of St. Louis (63136**) won with a ticket for the July 21 drawing. Hines, 56, purchased her winning ticket at Johnson’s Amoco, 205 S. Vandeventer in St. Louis. She let the computer select the winning numbers. They were: 11, 13, 15, 19 and 23. Harper, 25, purchased his winning ticket at Stelmacki Super Market, 9965 Lewis & Clark Blvd. in Moline Acres. He selected his winning numbers - 1, 16, 18, 27 and 29 - at random. * Twenty-eight percent federal and 4 percent state taxes are withheld from the total prize amount of $36,764.70 to provide $25,000 cash at the time of redemption.
