Troy Man Uncovers 'Mega Cash' On His Birthday

It was an especially happy birthday for Ronald Carson, Jr., Troy, when he uncovered a $250,000 prize in the Missouri Lottery Scratchers game "$250,000 Mega Cash." Carson, 42, said his forty-second birthday was his "best birthday."
Carson celebrated his birthday on April 7 with friends and family. He bought a few "$250,000 Mega Cash" Scratchers tickets as a birthday treat to himself. He purchased his tickets at Troy BP, 205 N. Lincoln in Troy. He claimed his prize in the Lottery’s St. Louis regional office on April 9.
"It was the wildest experience of our lives," Carson said of scratching his tickets and celebrating with his friends. "There were a lot of tears and a lot of laughter."
Carson joked that he is going to put a big number "42" on his truck so he will always remember this birthday.
Carson said he is still "trying to get back down to Earth" after his win, but he has had some time to think about what he will do with his prize money.
"Pay bills, put the rest in the bank and live a little easier," Carson said of his plans for his prize. "It will take a lot of stress off."
The $10 game "$250,000 Mega Cash" began on Jan. 31. It offers 30 top prizes of $250,000 and more than $100 million in cash prizes.
