Arkansas Dad Wins $10,000 On Stop For First Birthday Party Supplies
An Arkansas dad who made a stop for some birthday party supplies for his son’s first birthday ended up winning $10,000. Mark Johnson, 32, of Rogers, Ark., said he went to the Jug Store, 29 Missouri Lane in Pineville, on March 30 to buy some items, and while he was there, he bought two Scratchers tickets from the "$250,000 Mega Cash" game. He scratched the tickets in the parking lot and discovered one was worth $10,000.
"It made it a great birthday," said Johnson, who is an Allstate insurance agent in Fayetteville. "My wife’s already got it half spent."
Johnson said his wife, Tori, recently started a new job and some of the prize money is going toward an "updated wardrobe." They also plan to use some of the money to pay bills.
"My son got a few extra gifts, too," he added.
The $10 game "$250,000 Mega Cash" began on Jan. 31. It offers 30 top prizes of $250,000 and more than $100 million in cash prizes.
