Missouri Lottery Offers Powerball Power Play 10X Promotion

Powerball players in Missouri will have 10 great reasons to add Power Play to their purchase with the "Power Play 10X" promotion, which runs from April 1-28. Powerball players who select the Power Play option will have the chance to multiply any winnings from $3 to $200,000 by up to 10 times.
After each Wednesday and Saturday Powerball drawing, a wheel is spun to select that draw’s Power Play number. The wheel has 16 spaces with four of each of these numbers: 2, 3, 4 and 5. During the promotion, one of the "5s" will be replaced with a "10."
"If a player matches all five white-ball numbers to win the base prize of $200,000 and that player selected Power Play, his or her prize would be $2 million, if the 10 happens to be drawn," said Scott White, on-line product manager for the Missouri Lottery. "Players who normally might have won $10,000 would win $100,000.
"This promotion is a great way to add some excitement, award bigger prizes and acquaint players with the Power Play feature," White added. "It is guaranteed that the ’10’ will come up at least once during the promotion, and if it doesn’t, the promotion will continue until it does."
A Powerball ticket costs $1, and adding the Power Play feature costs an additional $1 per play.
