Springfield Woman Wins $25,000 On Lunch Hour

Story Photo A Springfield woman who bought some Missouri Lottery Scratchers tickets during her lunch hour on March 16 ended up winning a $25,000 top prize. Sandy Inman, 55, said she went to Cody’s, 3264 E. Battlefield in Springfield, to redeem a $100 Lottery prize. With that prize money, she bought $65 worth of tickets. Five of the tickets she bought were from the "Cherry Twist" game, and one of those five tickets turned out to be worth $25,000.
"I’ve been telling my husband it is going to happen," she said. "He was very surprised."
Inman said she and her husband, Fred, plan to use the prize money to buy new carpet for their home. Inman also plans to use some of her winnings to take her mother to Kansas City to celebrate her 80th birthday.
Inman is employed as an executive administrative assistant at Jared Enterprises in Springfield.
"Cherry Twist" is a $2 Scratchers game that began on March 1.
