Quincy Woman Wins $50,000 Powerball Prize

Story Photo A Quincy, Ill., woman claimed a $50,000 prize from the March 7 Powerball drawing. Jackie Dill won the base prize of $10,000 for matching four of the five white-ball numbers and the Powerball number; however, since she used Power Play, her base prize was multiplied by five to win a total of $50,000.
Dill purchased her winning ticket at West Quincy Shell, 8556 Highway 24 in Taylor. She let the computer select her winning numbers. The winning numbers from that drawing were: 13, 16, 18, 19, 46 and the Powerball number was 36.
The Power Play feature was added to Powerball on March 4, 2001. For an extra $1, players have the chance to multiply winnings up to five times the original amount, with the exception of the jackpot.
From April 1-28, the Missouri Lottery is offering the Powerball Power Play 10X promotion, which will give players a chance to multiply their base winnings of $3 to $200,000 up to 10 times for up to $2 million.
