Joplin Co-Workers Named Lottery Team of the Month

Congratulations to "Mustang Madness" of Joplin! "Mustang Madness" was recognized as the Lottery Team of the Month for March as part of the Missouri Lottery’s 2007 Lottery Captains promotion. The promotion awards a Lottery players group with prizes and a feature at Molottery.com each month during the calendar year.
"Mustang Madness" is a group of 21 co-workers from Joplin Ford in Joplin who play Powerball together. The members are: Marilee Dick (team captain) and Adam Brunton, both of Carthage; Chandler Fairechild, Greg McCoy, Karen Ash, Paul England, Cliff Christian, Todd Long, Debbie Standley, Kat Stayton, David Mitchell, Joel Ford, John Beaty and Scot Fisher, all of Joplin; Glenda Hoots, Cabool; Tracy Scott, Miller; Jonathon Chrismon, Duenweg; Laurel Lucas, Seneca; Eric Ginn, Marionville; Mark Seela, Oronogo; and Jim Mills, Galena, Kan.
The members of "Mustang Madness" started playing together in July 2006 during a large Powerball jackpot. They play Powerball in both of the weekly drawings. Each member contributes $1 per drawing at the beginning of the month. Then, Dick buys $21 worth of tickets for each drawing. She buys the group?s tickets at Fastrip, 1904 E. 32nd in Joplin. The co-workers have two sets of numbers they use each week, and they use Quick Pick to let the computer choose the remaining sets of numbers.
Dick says if they ever win big, they will rent a limousine and come to Lottery headquarters to claim their prize. She said she makes copies of their tickets, so all of the team members will know if they’ve won a prize.
"They all have to come back to work, at least for one day," Dick said.
