Springfield Cook Wins $12,216 Playing Keno

Staying after work to hang out with friends and play the Missouri Lottery’s Club Keno game paid off for a cook at W.F. Cody’s South, 1440 E. Republic Road in Springfield. Ennis "Mike" McLean, 24, said he played one Keno game on Feb. 24 and he had $8 left, so he played one more, letting the computer pick the seven lucky numbers on his 7-spot game. To his surprise, he ended up winning $12,216.
"I’ve always played the 7-spot," he said.
McLean said he plans to use his prize money to buy a new dirt bike.
"I used to race dirt bikes," he added. "I will save some of it (winnings), too."
