Shelbina Man Brings Home $10,000 Winning Scratchers Ticket

Story Photo A Shelbina man stopped at a local grocery store on Feb. 15 and left with a $10,000 winning Missouri Lottery "Lifetime Riches" Scratchers ticket. Victor "Vic" Wegman, 65, said he stopped by C & R Market, 201 N. Center in Shelbina, to buy a few groceries and decided to buy two Lottery tickets, too.
Wegman, who is self-employed, said he took the tickets home to scratch them.
"I couldn’t believe it when I saw it," Wegman said.
Wegman said he planned to use his winnings to buy a more fuel-efficient car.
The $10 "Lifetime Riches" game, which officially started April 22, 2006, has the highest payout in the Lottery’s history and offers more than $100 million in cash prizes, including 10 top prizes of $50,000 a year for life. More than 75.62 percent of the $10 game’s sales will be returned to players as prizes.
