Centralia Woman Wins Top Prize in Scratchers Game

Story Photo A Centralia woman received an early birthday present when she won $777 playing one of the Missouri Lottery’s newest Scratchers games "Super 7’s." Sarah Towne, who turns 28 next week, purchased her winning ticket at Main Stop, 104 W. Helm in Brookfield, on Feb. 18.
Towne said she didn’t scratch off the winning ticket until the next day.
"I went to get a soda and bought one ticket," Towne said. "I scratched it off yesterday when I was in my van. It was kind of shocking. I didn’t believe it at first."
Towne, who is a stay-at-home mom with three children, said she and her husband, Deme, plan to use her winnings to pay bills.
The $1 "Super 7’s" Scratchers game officially started on Jan. 31.
