Columbia Man Wins $10,000 Lottery Prize

Story Photo The tournament director at a Columbia golf course scored big when he won $10,000 playing the Missouri Lottery’s Scratchers game "Triple Dough." Jasin DeYoung, 22, said he cashed in a few winning tickets to buy two more tickets, one of which turned out to be worth $10,000, when he stopped to buy a soda at Phillips MPC, 126 S. Providence Road in Columbia, on Feb. 19.
"I don’t know how people react when they win a million dollar prize, but it felt pretty good to win this," DeYoung told Lottery officials when he claimed his prize on Feb. 20.
DeYoung, who works at the Columbia Country Club, said he is planning to share some of his prize with his mom and put the rest of his winnings in savings.
The $2 Scratchers game, "Triple Dough," officially began on Dec. 6.
