Honeywell Workers Share $10,000 Powerball Prize

Story Photo A group of 10 workers at Honeywell FM&T in Kansas City claimed a $10,000 Powerball prize from the Jan. 31 drawing. The winners are: Douglas Morgan, 52, and Fermin Garza, 41, both of Kingsville; Gary Skeen, 52, of Pleasant Hill; James Connell, 52, of Holden; Floyd Worley, 62, of La Tour; David Nelson, 53, of Oak Grove; Bryan Jackman, 55, of Lee’s Summit; Paul Richey, 43, of Independence; Donald Armstrong, 58, of Paola, Kan.; and Charles DeGraw, 55, of Bonner Springs, Kan.
The group has pooled $30 for each Powerball drawing for the past two years. Their winning ticket for the Jan. 31 drawing was purchased at Casey’s, 2204 E. South St. in Harrisonville.
The third-level Powerball prize increased from $5,000 to $10,000 in August 2005, when the game was redesigned for the fourth time since it started in April 1992.
