TWO MID-MISSOURIANS WIN $25,000 TAX PAID
A 57-year-old woman from Mokane and a 75-year-old man from Jefferson City both received checks for $25,000 tax paid* at the Missouri Lottery headquarters today after matching all five numbers in last night’s SHOW ME 5 drawing. Patricia Rose of Mokane and Roy Lackey of Jefferson City each have been playing the same set of numbers for several years. The winning numbers were: 2, 7, 14, 21 and 28.
Rose purchased her winning ticket yesterday at Fulton Apple Market, 1210 Business Hwy. 54 S. in Fulton. Lackey, a retired painter, purchased his winning ticket at Apache Flats Market, 5515 Hwy. 50 W. in Jefferson City.
Three other tickets purchased for last night’s drawing matched all five numbers to win $25,000 tax paid.
To date, 772 tickets worth $25,000 tax paid have been sold since the game began in November 1994.
* Twenty-eight percent federal and 4 percent state taxes are withheld from the total prize amount of $36,764.70 to provide $25,000 cash at the time of redemption. Depending on personal income, winners may owe additional taxes for the prize, or they may receive a refund.
