Holts Summit Man Wins $6,208 Playing Club Keno

Story Photo A Holts Summit man is planning to build a machine shed a little sooner than expected after he won $6,208 on Jan. 19 playing Club Keno. Kenny Wolters’ seven-spot ticket matched seven numbers to win $5,000, plus he won an additional $1,208 to win the game’s Progressive jackpot.
Wolters said he stopped at the American Legion 5, 1423 Tanner Bridge Road in Jefferson City, to buy Powerball tickets. While there he decided to play a few games of Club Keno.
"I normally always play five numbers, but I played seven numbers by mistake," Wolters said. "I couldn’t believe my seven numbers matched."
Wolters, 59, who is a technician for the Missouri National Guard, said he let the computer select his winning numbers. They were: 21, 33, 48, 52, 63, 78 and 79.
Wolters said he has been saving money to build a machine shed since he returned from active duty in Iraq.
"I’m just going to add it to my account right now," Wolters said.
Players can win from $1 to $100,000 per $1 ticket per drawing in Club Keno, which started in May 2002. On Jan. 16, two new play options were added to the game - Multiplier and a Progressive jackpot. With the Club Keno Multiplier feature, for an extra $1, players can win up to 10 times the prize amount on all Club Keno base prizes for up to $1 million. All six-, seven- and eight-spot game tickets are eligible for the Progressive jackpot, which adds a rolling jackpot bonus prize in addition to the regular top prizes.
