$20.4 Million Sent to Public Education Fund

The Missouri Lottery today transferred $20.4 million to the Lottery Proceeds Fund for public education programs. The January transfer was $20,462,758 and is based on lottery ticket sales during December 2006. The transfer brings the total provided to public education during fiscal year 2007 to more than $145 million.
Since the Lottery began 21 years ago, it has generated more than $2.8 billion in proceeds for the state, including public education. Three Scratchers To Expire In March Three Missouri Lottery Scratchers games will expire in March:
  • 580 "Moneybags" expires March 24;
  • 601 "$100,000 Texas Hold ’Em" expires March 24;
  • 616 "Stars & Stripes" expires March 24.
