Bigger Keno Prizes Offered With Two New Added Features

Story Photo Club Keno players will have two new ways to win larger prizes with the new Club Keno multiplier feature and progressive jackpot. Both new features will start Jan. 16. The Club Keno Multiplier feature will give players the option, for an extra $1 per $1 play, to win up to 10 times the prize amount on all Club Keno base prizes. Prior to each five-minute Keno drawing, a wheel will be spun to determine the multiplier number. Players can win 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10 times the usual amount ? up to $1 million. "This feature is similar to the Power Play feature in Powerball," said Scott White, on-line product manager for the Missouri Lottery. "Players like having the option to increase their prizes. It is possible that a Keno player could win as much as $1 million by playing the multiplier on a 10-spot game." Another feature that will be added to Club Keno on Jan. 16 is the progressive jackpot. Club Keno players who play the six-, seven- and eight-spot games will be automatically eligible - with no additional costs - to win the extra progressive jackpot prize. "It is an added value to players to win this jackpot, without any additional costs or without having to mark their playslip," said White. "We think players will be pleasantly surprised when they play one of these games and win extra prize money." Players can win this progressive prize along with the regular prize on a six- seven-or eight-spot game. If the jackpot is not won during the drawing, it will continue to grow until it is won. The progressive jackpot is pari-mutuel, so players will share the jackpot, based on the amount and the number of winners in each prize category. The progressive jackpot amount available for the next drawing will be displayed on the Club Keno monitor.
