Osage Beach Man Hits Lucky Streak, Wins $10,000 Instantly

Story Photo An Osage Beach man hit a lucky streak on Nov. 29 and won a total of $10,700 through four Missouri Lottery tickets. Joseph Kinnaman won a $10,000 prize and a $200 prize on two separate "$100 Million Cash Spectacular" Scratchers tickets, a $200 prize on a "Lifetime Riches" Scratchers ticket and a $300 prize on Pick 3 all on the same day for total winnings of $10,700.
Kinnaman, 62, said he went to 66 Faststop, 535 E. U.S. Highway 54 in Camdenton, to cash in his $300 winning Pick 3 ticket. He had previously collected the two $200 prizes. While he was waiting for the clerk to validate the ticket, he asked to buy a "$100 Million Cash Spectacular" ticket.
"Before she could pay me, I saw I won $500 on the first prize on the ticket, so I told her to go ahead and add $500 to the amount she was paying me," Kinnaman said. "She stopped to see what I was doing, so I started scratching off one prize at a time, just to tease her. She finally took the ticket from me and finished scratching it."
The ticket was worth $10,000. Nov. 29 wasn’t the first time Kinnaman had won playing the Lottery. In March 2005, he won $12,000 playing Pick 4.
Kinnaman, who is the head nurse on the heart team at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, said he plans to use his winnings to pay some bills and to help pay upcoming wedding expenses for his daughter.
"$100 Million Cash Spectacular" and "Lifetime Riches" are the Lottery’s two $10 mega games and have the highest prize payouts in the Lottery’s history. "$100 Million Cash Spectacular" officially started on Sept. 10, 2005. It offers more than $102.5 million in cash prizes, including 10 top prizes of $1 million; four top prizes of $1 million remain unclaimed. "Lifetime Riches" officially started April 22. It offers more than $100 in cash prizes, including 10 top prizes of $50,000 for life; six top prizes remain unclaimed.
