Huntsville Trucker Hauls In $12,501 Keno Prize
A self-employed truck driver from Huntsville hauled in a $12,501 prize playing the Missouri Lottery’s Club Keno game. Howard Colley, 58, said he usually meets a few friends at the Wabash Inn, 111 E. Coates in Moberly, on most Friday or Saturday nights to "socialize." On Dec. 1, while there with friends playing Keno, Colley let the computer select his numbers on a seven-spot Club Keno game with the Bulls-Eye. When those numbers were drawn, he won $12,501.
"Needless to say, this Friday I will probably have to buy a round or two," Colley mused when he claimed his winning ticket at the Lottery’s Jefferson City office on Dec. 4.
Colley said he and his wife, Jane, will probably use some of the prize money to remodel their home. They will also pay some bills with some of the money.
Players can win from $1 to $100,000 per $1 ticket per drawing in Club Keno, which started in May 2002. For an extra $1, players can choose the Bulls-Eye option and win between $5 and $50 for matching just the Bulls-Eye number. Players can win as much as $300,000 by matching all the numbers and the Bulls-Eye number in a 10-spot game.
