LOTTERY TRANSFER $11.5 MILLION TO EDUCATION
The Missouri Lottery today transferred $11.5 million to the Lottery Proceeds Fund for public education programs. The transfer of $11,557,099 is based on lottery ticket sales in August, and it brings the total proceeds transfer for fiscal year 2000 to more than $37 million.
Since lottery sales began more than 13 years ago, the lottery has provided the state, including education, with more than $1.38 billion.
