West Plains Police Officer Wins $25,000 Instantly
A 43-year-old police officer from West Plains plans to use his prize wisely after he uncovered the $25,000 top prize on a Missouri Lottery "Red Hot Cash" Scratchers ticket.
"I’ll pay bills and use it wisely," Jeffrey Head said of his prize money.
Head met his wife, Debra, at Bullseye, 1510 Preacher Roe Blvd. in West Plains, to get fuel for their vehicles on Nov. 8. They purchased two Scratchers tickets each and took them back to their cars to scratch them. Debra won $15 on one of her tickets, but the first of Head’s two "Red Hot Cash" was the big winner.
"When I saw mine, I walked over and showed it to my wife and she went to screaming," Head said.
The $2 game "Red Hot Cash" officially began on July 1.
