Kansas City Taxi Driver Picks Up $20,000

A taxi driver from Kansas City picked up $20,000 when he uncovered the prize on a Missouri Lottery "$100 Million Cash Spectacular" Scratchers ticket. David Charles Sr., said he bought his ticket on Nov. 6 when he made his regular stop at Express Mart of Longview, 7007 Longview Road in Kansas City.
"It’ll help in a pinch," Charles said. "We need a car."
Charles said he and his wife, plan to buy a sport utility vehicle (SUV) with the prize money. He also planned to take his wife and their two youngest children out to dinner on Nov. 6.
"They (kids) grow so fast; they always need clothes," he added.
The "$100 Million Cash Spectacular" game, which officially started on Sept. 10, 2005, has the one of the highest payouts and offers more than $102.5 million in cash prizes, including 10 top prizes of $1 million. More than 75.14 percent of the $10 game’s sales will be returned to players as prizes.
