Albany Cashier Claims Ninth Harley-Davidson® Motorcycle

A convenience store employee is the ninth player to uncover a brand new 2006 Harley-Davidson® Fat Boy® vivid black motorcycle on a Missouri Lottery "Harley-Davidson®" Scratchers ticket. Lora York, 48, of Albany said she bought her winning ticket on Oct. 12 during a break at Shoat’s, 304 E. Highway 136 in Albany, where she works as a cashier.
"I bought four tickets and it (winner) was the fourth one," said York. "I was shocked."
York said she plans to keep the motorcycle.
"I’ve never had a motorcycle before," she said. "I’ve ridden one, but I’ve never driven one. I’ll have to learn."
In addition to winning the motorcycle, York will receive $250 in cash and a $250 Genuine Harley-Davidson Merchandise in-store credit. The Missouri Lottery will also pay all standard federal and state withholding taxes on the prize.
This is the second large prize sold in the game at this location. On June 1, Ginny Sperry of Albany won $100,000 on a "Harley-Davidson" Scratchers ticket she bought when she stopped at Shoat’s for ice cream.
The "Harley-Davidson" game officially started May 27. By buying a $5 "Harley-Davidson" Scratchers ticket, Lottery players have a chance to instantly win up to $100,000 in cash or one of 10 2006 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy vivid black motorcycles.
