OKLAHOMA WOMAN WINS $100,000 IN POWERBALL

An Oklahoma woman can buy herself a new puppy after winning $100,000 in Saturday night’s Powerball drawing. Dana Stanfill, 46, of Westville, Okla., said she plans to use some of the money to find a Yorkshire terrier puppy to replace her terrier that passed away seven months ago. Stanfill’s husband, Rodney, purchased her winning ticket on Jan. 4, when he and a friend took their usual trip to Nadine’s State Line Liquor in Noel. He used a set of random numbers that Dana selected. The winning numbers were: 5, 10, 11, 27 and 32. In addition to a new dog, the Stanfills also plan to pay bills and share some of their winnings with others. Stanfill also won $100 on another combination on her Jan. 9 ticket. To date, 433 Missouri players have won $100,000 in Powerball since the game began in April 1992.
