Branson West Man Wins $10,000 Playing Powerball

Story Photo A 61-year-old man in Branson West is getting a new lawn mower after he found out his Powerball ticket for the June 7 drawing is worth $10,000. Rudy Mayr said he has used the same numbers he picked at random for the past four years. Mayr bought his winning ticket at Rundy’s Hideout, 15186 State Highway 76 in Kimberling City. The third-level Powerball prize increased from $5,000 to $10,000 one year ago on Aug. 28, 2005, when the game was redesigned for the fourth time since it started in April 1992.
