LOTTERY TRANSFERS $12.5 MILLION ON 13TH ANNIVERSARY
The Missouri Lottery today transferred $12.5 million to the Lottery Proceeds Fund to benefit public education. The January monthly transfer of $12,515,617 based on ticket sales in December, brings the total amount of revenues to education during fiscal year 1999 to more than $88 million.
Since lottery sales began exactly 13 years ago today, the lottery has provided the state, including education, with more than $1.28 billion.
