Jefferson City Man Wins Harley-Davidson Motorcycle
An 88-year-old Jefferson City man became the sixth player to uncover a brand new 2006 Harley-Davidson® Fat Boy® vivid black motorcycle on a Missouri Lottery "Harley-Davidson®" Scratchers ticket. Louis Knaebel said he doesn’t plan to keep the motorcycle.
"I can’t ride the motorcycle, but I can use the money," Knaebel said when he claimed the prize on Aug. 14 at the Jefferson City office.
Knaebel purchased his winning ticket on Aug. 13 at Schnucks Market, 1801 Missouri Blvd. in Jefferson City. He said he plans to sell the vehicle and use the prize money to pay bills.
The "Harley-Davidson" game and summer promotion officially started May 27. By buying a $5 "Harley-Davidson" Scratchers ticket, Lottery players have a chance to instantly win up to $100,000 in cash or one of 10 2006 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy vivid black motorcycles plus $250 cash and a $250 Genuine Harley-Davidson Merchandise in-store credit.
Non-winning "Harley-Davidson" tickets can also be entered into the final drawing in the "Ticket to Ride" promotion for a chance to win one Fat Boy motorcycle or one of 300 Harley-Davidson prize packages. The final drawing will be Oct. 4. In addition, there will be a grand-prize drawing on Oct. 4 for a grand-prize 2006 Ford Harley-Davidson™ F-150 truck and $500.
