Missouri Lotto Ticket Worth $5.5 Million Sold in Ste. Genevieve

Story Photo A Missouri Lotto player who buys tickets at Casey’s, 21998 State Highway 32 in Ste. Genevieve, is now $5.5 million richer! A Lotto ticket sold there for the July 26 drawing matched all six numbers drawn to win the jackpot. The six winning numbers are: 16, 24, 31, 34, 36 and 43.
"This is the second jackpot ticket sold in Ste. Genevieve," said Gary Gonder, director of communications for the Missouri Lottery.
The first jackpot sold in Ste. Genevieve was a $2.8 million Lotto jackpot sold at Rhodes 101 Stop, claimed by Ernie Weiler Sr. of Ste. Genevieve on July 31, 2002. Two years later on July 17, 2004, Paul Koller of Ste. Genevieve won a $1 million Lotto jackpot with a ticket he purchased at the Dew Drop Inn in Bloomfield.
Lotto winners have exactly 180 days from the drawing to claim their prize. In this case, the winner has until Jan. 22, 2007.
If you discover you hold the winning ticket, sign the back and take it to a Missouri Lottery office. Offices are located in St. Louis, Jefferson City, Springfield and Independence. Maps to each office can be found at www.molottery.com.
This is the 159th winning Missouri Lotto jackpot ticket sold and the 216th jackpot ticket overall since the Lottery began 20 years ago.
