Kansas City Man Wins Club Keno Prize
Thomas Bappe, Kansas City, is $12,505 richer after his seven lucky numbers were drawn when he played Club Keno at Half-Time Sports Pub, 13023 Holmes in Kansas City, on May 17. He used a combination of birthdays to choose his numbers. They were: 3, 5, 10, 11, 22, 28 and 47.
Bappe, 59, played five $2 games using the 7-spot. He matched the Bulls-Eye number on his second game to win $5. His fourth game turned out even better when he matched seven numbers including the Bulls-Eye number to win $12,500.
"That was impressive," Bappe said. "I hollered a little bit. It’s a neighborhood place, so everyone was giving me hugs."
Bappe plans to pay off bills with his prize and to use some of it toward his hobby.
"I like to fish, so I’ll probably treat myself to a fishing pole," Bappe said.
Club Keno began in May 2002. Players can win from $1 to $100,000 per $1 wager per drawing. For an extra $1, players can choose the Bulls-Eye option and win between $5 and $50 for matching just the Bulls-Eye number. Players can win as much as $300,000 by matching all the numbers and the Bulls-Eye number in a 10-spot game. For more information about Club Keno and the Bulls-Eye feature, go to the Club Keno page.
