Jansen Appointed Subcommittee Chair
Larry Jansen, executive director of the Missouri Lottery, was recently appointed the chair of the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries’ (NASPL) Accounting Subcommittee.
Jansen, 50, of Jefferson City worked as the controller/chief financial officer for the Lottery from November 1986 to September 2005, when he was appointed executive director. Under his direction, the Lottery has received the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) of the United States and Canada’s Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting for five consecutive years. Jansen has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He is also a certified public accountant.
NASPL was founded in 1971 to provide a central source of information for the lottery industry, facilitate industry communications, educate and train lottery staffs, facilitate industry research and development and establish a common voice for the industry.
