Columbia Grandma Uncovers $2,000 Prize On Scratchers Ticket

Story Photo A Columbia grandma has a little extra money to spoil her great-grandchildren with after she uncovered a $2,000 prize on a Missouri Lottery "Cash Roulette" Scratchers ticket. Ruth Britt, 59, said she plans to use some of her prize money to buy some items for her three great-grandchildren. She also plans to share half of her prize with her husband, Doyle. On May 1, Britt gave her husband $10 and asked him to buy some "Red Hot Cherries" Scratchers tickets for her. When Doyle Britt stopped at Blue Acres Little General Store, 4001 Ponderosa in Columbia, the location was out of the requested game, so he bought $10 worth of the $2 "Cash Roulette" tickets. One of those turned out to be worth $4 and one ticket was worth $2,000. "Cash Roulette," a $2 Scratchers game, officially started March 25.
