$600,000 Powerball Ticket Sold In St. Louis Still Unclaimed
If you buy Powerball tickets at Schnucks Market, 6600 Clayton Road in St. Louis, be sure to check your tickets. One Powerball ticket sold there for the April 15 drawing, matched all five white-ball numbers to win the $200,000 second-level prize. Lottery records show the player also selected the Power Play option on that ticket, and since the Power Play number drawn that night was three, the player will receive $600,000. The five winning white-ball numbers were: 13, 18, 23, 28 and 46.
"Players need to check their Powerball tickets carefully," said Gary Gonder, director of communications for the Missouri Lottery. "This prize is worth more than half a million dollars. You wouldn’t want to throw that away or leave it lying around in your car, purse or wallet."
For an extra $1 per play, Powerball?s Power Play feature offers the chance to multiply prizes from $3 to $200,000 by two, three, four or five times their normal value. After each Wednesday and Saturday Powerball drawing, a wheel is spun to select that draw’s Power Play number. The wheel has 16 spaces that are labeled as follows: 2, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4, 4, 5, 5, 5, 5. On April 15, the Power Play number drawn was 3.
Players can easily check their Powerball tickets buy running them through Check-A-Ticket machines found at retail locations. They can also check their numbers with those posted on the Missouri Lottery’s Web site, molottery.com.
If you find you have this winning ticket, sign the back and take it to the Missouri Lottery’s St. Louis regional office, located at 1831 Craig Park Court (in the Westport area).
Missouri Lottery players have exactly 180 days from the drawing to claim Powerball prizes. In this case, the player has until Oct. 12, 2006, to claim this prize.
