Thousands of other Missouri players won more than $1 million in prizes ranging from $3 to $10,000. "Be sure to check your tickets carefully," said Larry Jansen, executive director for the Missouri Lottery. "There are nine ways to win prizes in Powerball, so even if you didn’t win the top prize, you might have won another prize." Missouri Lottery Powerball players have 180 days from the drawing to claim their prizes, which in this case would be until Aug. 17, 2006. The two second-level prizes worth $667,142 were sold at Break Time, Highway 65 N. in Carrollton, and Citgo Food Mart, 11410 Veterans Memorial in Lake St. Louis. Missouri Lottery Powerball sales for the jackpot run, which started Dec. 15, 2005, were more than $37.4 million. "Missouri’s public education will receive approximately $13.8 million from this jackpot run alone," said Jansen.
