ST. LOUIS ASSEMBLER WINS $25,000

An assembler from St. Louis matched all five numbers drawn in the Missouri Lottery’s SHOW ME 5 game on Sunday night to win $25,000 tax paid.* Robert "Bob" Ringling, 61, of St. Louis (63138**) said he used a combination of numbers his 37-year-old son usually plays. The winning numbers were: 6, 10, 13, 14 and 19. Ringling said his son usually plays that combination of numbers, but for some reason, he didn’t buy a ticket for Sunday night’s drawing. When his numbers came up, he called his dad to tell him, only to find out that his dad played the numbers and won. Ringling and his wife, Shirley, plan to share their prize with their five grown children. They plan to invest what is left over. Ringling purchased his winning ticket at Amoco Food Shop, 12051 Bellefontaine in St. Louis. * Twenty-eight percent federal and 4 percent state taxes are withheld from the total prize amount of $36,764.70 to provide $25,000 cash at the time of redemption. Depending on personal income, winners may owe additional taxes for the prize, or they may receive a refund. ** zip code to determine coverage area
