Rolla Woman Wins $20,000 Playing Cash Spectacular

Story Photo An office manager for a Rolla construction company is $20,000 richer after she uncovered the prize on a Missouri Lottery "$100 Million Cash Spectacular" Scratchers ticket. Andrea "Andi" Ridenhour, 39, of Rolla said she usually only buys "Crossword" tickets, but on Jan. 27, she decided to also buy one ticket from the "$100 Million Cash Spectacular" game, too. Ridenhour purchased her winning ticket at the Do Drop In, Highway 63 S. in Rolla, when she stopped for a diet Mountain Dew. She bought a couple of "Crossword" tickets and one "$100 Million Cash Spectacular" ticket. She uncovered the prize at the store. Ridenhour, who works at Hogan Construction, said she and her husband, Keith, plan to use the windfall to pay off her car loan and credit cards. "If there is enough left, I’m going to buy a couch," she said. The new "$100 Million Cash Spectacular" game, which officially started on Sept. 10, 2005, has the highest payout in the Lottery’s history and offers more than $102.5 million in cash prizes, including 10 top prizes of $1 million. More than 75.14 percent of the $10 game’s sales will be returned to players as prizes.
