A Palmyra woman matched all five numbers drawn in the Missouri Lottery’s SHOW ME 5 game on Saturday night to win $25,000 tax paid.* Marcia "Lynn" Williams, 43, said she plans to use the windfall to pay off bills. "I’m getting laid off in May, so it will be nice to get them (bills) paid off," said Williams. She works for a chemical company in Palmyra. Williams also said she will share some of her winnings with her four children. Williams purchased her winning ticket Saturday afternoon at Break Time, 410 E. Main Cross in Palmyra. She said she doesn’t remember the significance of the numbers, which she has been playing for some time. The winning numbers were: 5, 14, 17, 23 and 30. Since SHOW ME 5 began in 1994, 792 tickets worth $25,000 tax paid have been sold in Missouri. * Twenty-eight percent federal and 4 percent state taxes are withheld from the total prize amount of $36,764.70 to provide $25,000 cash at the time of redemption. Depending on personal income, winners may owe additional taxes for the prize, or they may receive a refund.
