Jefferson City Man Wins $77,782 On New Year's Day

A Jefferson City man guaranteed himself a happy new year after he uncovered a $77,782 prize on a Missouri Lottery "Super 7’s Bingo" Scratchers ticket on Jan. 1. Michael "Mike" Kirsch, 53, purchased his winning ticket at Break Time, 1940 W. Main St. in Jefferson City, when he stopped for gasoline after work.
Kirsch, who is a grocery manager for Gerbes in Columbia, said he plans to buy a new boat with his prize money.
"Super 7 Bingo," a $5 game, officially went on sale Aug. 20.
