Hallsville Woman Will Celebrate Holiday With $1,000 Prize

Story Photo Terri Fuhrken, 48, will celebrate a special Christmas after uncovering her first big Missouri Lottery win playing the "Ho Ho Holidays" Scratchers game. The Hallsville woman stopped to purchase a couple of holiday Scratchers tickets on her way to work on Dec. 7. She was already excited after uncovering $100 when she scratched off the first prize. Her luck continued as she scratched off the remaining prizes. By the time she was finished, she had won a total of $1,000. Fuhrken immediately celebrated with her co-workers and started making plans for her winnings. "This is perfect timing for Christmas," said Fuhrken. Fuhrken plans to put her prize in the bank and to share some with her daughter. The winning ticket was purchased at Hallsville Market & Deli, 409 N. Route B in Hallsville.
