Lewistown Woman Buys One Ticket, Wins $20,000

Story Photo A Lewistown woman can get new carpet for her living room after she uncovered a $20,000 top prize on a Missouri Lottery "Ho Ho Holidays" Scratchers ticket. Beverly "Bev" Crain, 65, said she stopped in L & D Discount Tobacco & Liquor in Taylor on Dec. 3, and she bought just one $2 ticket from the "Ho Ho Holidays" game. When she was riding home with her daughter later, she uncovered the prize. "We had to stop to have lunch and check the ticket," she said. In addition to new carpet, Crain and her husband, Ken, said they plan to put the rest in the bank or invest it. "Ho Ho Holidays," a $2 game, officially went on sale Oct. 29.
