Springfield Sales Consultant Lights Up With $10,000 Prize

Story Photo A sales consultant for Lighthouse Gallery in Springfield lit up on Nov. 10 when she discovered the first $10 Scratchers ticket she ever bought was worth $10,000. Antoinette "Toni" Page, 50, of Springfield, said she stopped at Kum & Go, 5384 S. Campbell in Springfield, for some gasoline and a $10 "$300,000 Season’s Greetings" Scratchers ticket. "I hardly ever play (the lottery)," said Page. "That was the first time I ever bought a $10 ticket. In the past, I only bought $1 tickets. I guess I felt like living large." Page said she plans to use her prize money to "re-do a bathroom." "I’ll get a whole new tub, show, tile?the whole nine yards," she said. "If anything’s left over, it will go towards Christmas." "$300,000 Season’s Greetings" is a new $10 holiday-theme game, offering a top prize of $300,000. The game officially started on Oct. 29.
