Rhineland Woman Wins $10,000 Playing Powerball

Story Photo A Rhineland woman was excited to learn yesterday that the Missouri Lottery Powerball ticket she purchased for the Oct. 19 drawing was a winner. Angela Lewis matched four white-ball numbers and the Powerball to win $10,000 in the record-breaking $340 million Powerball drawing. Lewis said her father planned to purchase $5 worth of Powerball plays for the drawing. He said he would give her $10 if he won. He forgot to pick up his tickets in time for the drawing, but Lewis made the same deal with him, promising that she would give him $10 if she won. She has already earmarked part of her winnings to follow through with the promise. The 28-year-old woman also plans to send her parents on the Alaskan cruise they?ve always wanted to take as a gift for their upcoming 30th wedding anniversary. Lewis, manager at Trail Side Bar and Grill in Rhineland, purchased her ticket at Casey?s, 811 Market in Hermann. The winning numbers were 7, 21, 43, 44, 49 and the Powerball number was 29.
