MARSHALL WOMAN WINS $10,000 INSTANTLY
Rainy days will no longer bother a Marshall woman after she scratched off $10,000 Wednesday in the Missouri Lottery’s "Payday" instant game. Christina Lane, 27, said she’ll use some of the money to put a new roof on her house.
Lane purchased her winning ticket Wednesday when she and her husband, Scott, stopped at Marshall Fireworks, Highway 65 and Interstate 70 in Marshall. Lane was going to buy a Powerball ticket, but the convenience store doesn’t offer Powerball. Instead, she purchased eight instant tickets; one of which turned out to be worth $10,000.
After paying for a new roof, Lane said she’ll put the rest of the money in the bank.
Lane works as a nurse at a clinic in Marshall.
"Payday" is a $1 Scratchers game that offers players four chances to win on a single ticket.
