Nixa Man Plans Fishing Trip With $2,100 Prize

Story Photo A Nixa man is planning to take a fishing trip to Truman Lake after uncovering a $2,100 top prize on a Missouri Lottery "Lucky Loot" Scratchers game. William "Bill" Markham, 53, said he also plans to use some of the prize money for his car. "I need a few parts for my car," said Markham, who is retired from the federal government. Markham purchased his winning ticket on Sept. 21 at Pony Express II, 229 Village Center St., in Nixa when he stopped for a "Coke." While there, he redeemed a $4 winning ticket he had bought previously, and he used that money to buy four more tickets from the $1 "Lucky Loot" game. One of those tickets turned out to be the winner. "Lucky Loot," a $1 Scratchers game, officially went on sale May 14.
