St. Joseph Man Wins $100,000 On Scratchers Ticket

A routine stop for two Missouri Lottery tickets and chocolate milk paid off for a St. Joseph man, who uncovered a $100,000 top prize on a "Monte Carlo" Scratchers ticket. Keith Hayes, 46, said he purchased his winning ticket on Sept. 29, when he stopped at Imperial Super Gas, 811 S. 6th St. in St. Joseph.
"I plan to buy a house," said Hayes, who works as a mover for Brown Transfer in St. Joseph. "We’ve been renting."
In addition to a new house, Hayes and his wife, Toni, plan to use some of his prize money to pay bills.
"Monte Carlo," a $5 Scratchers game, officially went on sale April 23.
